Unconscious

In Unconscious I ponder the meaning of spirituality.

I first began the series in response to disturbing and enchanting visions of apocalyptic events that would reoccur in my dreams. This came at a time when I had lost my own religion. Clay sculptures with sharp protruding wire represent fear and chaos.

In recent years this series has become more serene as the turbulence in my life has come to a stop. I no longer have the same nightmares and I am more open to accepting spirituality into my life. These artworks are abstract which mirrors my belief that spirituality is abstract.
